We work with local communities to promote understanding and inclusion of people with albinism at the grassroots level, reducing stigma and mobilizing the active involvement of faith communities, schools, and local government.
We know that education has the power to change lives. We also know that access to safe, indoor work can be difficult to come by for PWA's. We provide advanced education and vocational training for indoor work in order to provide PWA's a foundation to support themselves and their families without dangerous sun exposure.
Our skin cancer prevention training for people with albinism and local healthcare providers promotes prevention and early, life-saving treatment. We also partner with various organizations offering screening and cryo-therapy services in schools and other accessible locations.
Each child should have access to safe schools that contribute to their personal and educational growth. By placing children with albinism in integrated boarding schools around Tanzania, we can ensure they are living and learning in a safe environment with peers of all colors.
